A Reconciliation Service with several priests participating is celebrated during Advent and Lent. The parish priest is available at other times upon request. Sacrament of the Sick is a communal celebration held annually in October during the 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. weekend Masses. This allows the entire community to participate in the prayer of healing and harmony with God. The sacrament may also be celebrated in the home, nursing home, or hospital. Please call the Parish Office to make arrangements . Hospital Visitations are made by the priest, the pastoral minister, and the ministers of the sick during the week and upon special request. Inform the hospital that you are a member of St. Mary, and also have a family member call the Parish Office. Home Visitation provides the Eucharist for those confined to their homes for short or long terms. Make arrangements by calling the Parish Office. Parish Office Hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Saints Alive is a newsletter highlighting different aspects and programs in the Parish. Weekly Bulletin is available after the weekend Masses. Copies are also available in the Parish Office and online at (just the inside two pages) www.marionstmary.org. The front page provides a list of Parish Staff, telephone numbers, Mass and Reconciliation times, and other important information. Within the bulletin are announcements from different organizations, both parish and diocesan, and lists of scheduled meetings and events. Announcements for the bulletin are to be submitted by the Monday previous to the weekend.

St. Mary has special plans for the LENTEN season. Download activities flyer for all of the details. In the United States
the number of Holy Days is six: Christmas, the Ascension (which is celebrated
on Sunday in some regions), Holy Mary Mother of God (1 Jan.), Immaculate
Conception (Dec. 8), Assumption (Aug. 15), and All Saints (Nov. 1). Finally,
when Holy Days fall on a Saturday or a Monday the US Bishops' Conference
has the faculty to remove the obligation for that year. |
