We are renovating the Moira Hall flooring and bathrooms to provide a better, brighter, cleaner, more appealing space for parish and school events. We are partnering with InDecca, a general contractor who has worked with many parishes in the diocese.
The new design includes swapping of the men’s and women’s bathrooms. The women will be on the left and will have three regular stalls and one handicapped accessible stall. The men will be on the right and will have two urinals, one regular stall, and one handicapped accessible stall. Baby changing stations are inside each handicapped stall.
The drawings show the Moira Hall flooring with an LVT (luxury vinyl tile) wood flooring. The wainscoting around the walls will be painted a lighter greyish color.
Bathroom and flooring renovations will be done simultaneously, starting when school finishes in early June. During the summer, Moira Hall will be closed for construction, which is slated to finish before September. In the meantime, we will have portable toilets outside, and Masses will be somewhat shorter during the construction months to accommodate reduced bathroom capacity.
We need your help to make this project work! The projected cost is $270,000. While we have enough in parish savings to cover it, we have other big parish maintenance costs to consider and would like to fundraise as much as possible.
We are funding this project through the Diocesan Appeal. Once we reach our parish goal, all additional funds will be earmarked directly towards the renovations.
You can support the project through our giving portal. You can give a single amount, schedule recurring donations, or set a pledge goal and then choose how many intervals to break up the payments. Even if you can afford just $10 a week for a year, it will go a long way towards making Moira Hall a beautiful parish community space for years to come.
